Here I am posing with my shattered Lil' Jumpin' Bean on April 29,
1973. The AMA on the helmut stands for Academy of Model Aeronautics,
which is a national model airplane organization. The helmut wasn't
for safety, it was just something goofy I liked. It was actually an
old helmut liner that had been trimmed and painted white. At left,
you can see the tail of a DC-3 at the airport. On the ground you can
see one of my Combat Kittens and my flying box. At the lower left is
Denny Greenwell's flying box. |
