A much-younger me carefully holds the airframe of my Carl Goldberg
Lil' Jumpin' Bean circa 1972. According to the logbook I kept then, I
broke the right wing off the plane doing wingovers while flying
behind Bardstown High School (the current site of the Bardstown
Elementary School building) on June 8, 1972. I stripped the plane of
the original covering. The tail was also broken, as you can see the
rudder is missing, as are the landing gear. The red and blue color
scheme was replaced when I rebuilt the plane. I painted it dark blue
with white stripes on the wings. |
